Catering Orders

Catering requests should be submitted promptly. Please remember that caterings are approved on a first come first served basis. If you find that the date and time you require are not available, the Café team has reached its maximum capacity at that time.

*Always talk to the Chef Manager regarding your head count if you are unsure about any of the guidelines. Please reach out to us at: eventsandcateringmanagement@us.ci.org so that we can assist you in providing some alternate options if the maximum has been reached in CaterTrax (It will be “grey” and will not let you book).

CATERING REQUEST TIMELINES

GROUP SIZE ORDER NO LATER THAN…
Up to 12 7 business days prior to event
12 - 30 10 business days prior to event
Over 30+ 15 business days prior to event

All catering orders submitted later than the requested timeframe will be subject to approval by the Chef Manager. The food service team will work with you to adjust your request in order to meet food availability and menu options as needed.

For last minute small group orders (less than 12 people) from the on-site Compassion Café at the GMC, please utilize the online ordering system to place your food order at least 1 hour in advance of your required break time. This will help limit wait time when you arrive at the Café to pick up your food.

Canceling Catering Orders

To avoid cancelation costs, catering cancelations need to be made at least 7 business days prior to the meetings/event time.

Charging / Payment Options for Caterings

There are two options for charging your catering:

  1. Cost center
  2. Credit card

Please ensure you have supervisor approval to request caterings and confirm your preferred method of payment prior to placing your order.

Cost center invoicing will happen monthly and will include all Compassion caterings. Remember: When cost center approver is reviewing the monthly invoice in Workday, they are only responsible for the portion assigned to their cost center.

Additional Details

  1. Final guest count can be changed up to 3 business days prior to the meeting/event. All changes should be communicated directly with the Chef Manager.
  2. Special dietary requirements need to be defined and discussed with the Chef Manager to ensure we safely serve those coming to your meeting/event.
  3. All menu prices are priced per person unless otherwise stated.
  4. Special requests can be made directly to Chef Manager and are subject to approval.
